Datin Azlina has more than 30 years of wide-ranging banking experience. Professionally, Datin Azlina began her career in J.P. Morgan Chase Bank Berhad (J.P. Morgan) in 1989. She worked her way through the bank’s ranks, from an analyst to be one of the more senior bankers covering key corporate and institutional clients in Malaysia, until her retirement as Executive Director, Global Corporate Bank of J.P. Morgan on 2 March 2021. She was then appointed by the Minister of Finance as a Public Interest Director to Bursa Malaysia Berhad’s Board of Directors line up effective 16 March 2021. Datin Azlina also sits as a Member on Bursa Malaysia Berhad’s Nomination and Remuneration Committee, Sustainability and Development Committee, and Regulatory and Conflicts Committee.

Datin Azlina’s extensive experience in corporate and investment banking, significant role in setting-up the corporate banking franchise of J.P. Morgan in Malaysia, familiarity in banking operations and strong client coverage experience, would complement the existing skillset and dynamics of the Board.
