Puan Marina has 26 years of experience in supervising financial institutions and during her tenure at Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), Puan Marina assumed several key leadership roles, including the Director of Banking Supervision from 2009 to 2014 and Director of Development Finance & Enterprise from 2014 to 2018. In these roles, she oversaw the policy development for Development Financial Institutions, SMEs & Micro Finance, and spearheaded the implementation of BNM’s financial inclusion initiatives. She retired from BNM in July 2024 as the Director of Audit Department.
While at BNM, Puan Marina served various working committees, representing BNM on the Malaysian Deposit Insurance Corporation’s Committee in establishing the Differential Premium System Framework and the Assurance Program for Differential Premium and Insured Deposits. She also served as a Board Audit Committee member of The ICLIF Leadership & Governance Centre. Additionally, she was a former member of the Joint Supervision Working Committee with the Securities Commission and the APEC Financial Regulatory Training Initiative.
