The one-stop online platform aims to showcase CIMB-exclusive Ramadan and Raya deals for customers while creating business opportunities for selected microenterprises and to facilitate charitable contributions to designated NGOs.

Kuala Lumpur: CIMB Bank Berhad and CIMB Islamic Bank Berhad (collectively “CIMB” or “the Bank”) recently unveiled the CIMB Bazar Siberturahim (“the Bazaar”) for the second year running. The Bazaar is a one-stop platform for customers to enjoy CIMB-exclusive deals for Ramadan and Raya this year, from the comfort of their own homes. Themed ‘Segalanya di sini, Ramadan Raya ini’, the Bazaar aims to recreate the Raya shopping experience by bringing together a host of attractive offerings to meet customers’ needs during the festive season. This initiative also aims to create business opportunities for microenterprises and provide customers an avenue to perform charitable contributions through Zakat Fitrah and donations to selected NGOs.

In support of local businesses that continue to be affected by the pandemic, the bazaar will showcase and promote homegrown microenterprises including celebrity chef, Chef Wan, with useful tips for preparing timeless Raya recipes. In line with the Bank’s sustainability agenda, the Bazaar will also feature Raya cookies and other products from local businesses and microenterprises, such as those from among the B40 entrepreneurs who have participated in Program Keusahawanan Taylor’s-CIMB Islamic, in addition to the Women of Will (“WOW”) Microcredit Programme and entrepreneurship development programme for women entrepreneurs by CIMB Foundation.

The Bazaar also provides a platform for customers to make charitable contributions this festive period, either by contributing to selected NGOs or by making Zakat Fitrah contributions. Customers can make donations to National Cancer Society of Malaysia, Alzheimer’s Disease Foundation Malaysia, Malaysian Diabetes Association and National Kidney Foundation to name a few, via the CIMB Cares website, or by redeeming CIMB Bonus Points at an attractive conversion rate of 4000 bonus points per RM10 donation.
