Kuala Lumpur : CIMB Group Holdings Berhad (“CIMB Group” or “the Group”) today announced a leadership transition in Singapore. Victor Lee Meng Teck (“Victor”), CEO of Growth Markets and CEO of CIMB Singapore has resigned to pursue other opportunities and will be on gardening leave with immediate effect.  Victor started his career with CIMB Group in January 2019 when he was appointed CEO, Group Commercial & Transaction Banking before helming CIMB Singapore in January 2020. 

 

Novan Amirudin, Group CEO of CIMB Group will oversee the Growth Markets as Acting CEO while Andrew Boey, Chief Financial Officer, CIMB Singapore will step in as the Officer-in-Charge of CIMB Singapore to assume day-to-day leadership responsibilities, to ensure continued progress and stability.

 

Novan said, “Victor has been instrumental in transforming and institutionalising CIMB Singapore for continued sustainable success, driven by CIMB Group’s EPICC culture. As we look to the future, we are confident in the strength and depth of our bench strength, comprised of experienced and highly capable leaders, well prepared to carry forward our strategic priorities under our Forward30 plan. CIMB Group has activated its succession plan and will be announcing the successors in due course.
