Kuala Lumpur: Following our earlier announcement on 6 June 2025, CIMB Thai Bank Public Company Limited (“CIMB Thai”), a 94.83%-owned subsidiary of CIMB Bank Berhad (which is in turn a wholly owned subsidiary of CIMB Group Holdings Berhad "CIMB Group" or "the Group"), will have its shares delisted from The Stock Exchange of Thailand (“SET”) effective from 12 September 2026. The SET has announced that CIMB Thai's shares will remain available for trading for seven business days, from 3 September 2026 to 11 September 2026, prior to the delisting taking effect. The delisting will have no material impact to CIMB Thai’s customers, operations, financial strength or regulatory standing. CIMB Thai remains a core subsidiary of the Group and will continue its banking operations as usual while advancing customers and society.

The delisting follows a regulatory process initiated after the SET revised its minimum free float requirements in March 2024 where CIMB Thai’s listed shares were flagged with a “CF” (Caution – Free Float) indicator for a period of one year starting 5 June 2024. Following the regulatory change, CIMB Thai carried out a one-year public consultation process to communicate its non-compliance with the revised requirements to shareholders and relevant stakeholders. No material issues, comments, or objections were raised by stakeholders throughout the consultation period.

As such, the SET had subsequently proceeded with the trading suspension (“SP” – Suspension) of CIMB Thai’s shares for a one-year period starting 5 June 2025.

On 25 August 2026, CIMB Thai received notification from the SET's Board of Directors that its common shares would be delisted effective 12 September 2026.

Strengthening ASEAN connectivity

As one of ASEAN’s largest economies, CIMB Thai remains an integral component of CIMB Group’s regional network. CIMB Thai will continue leveraging its domestic franchise to support intra-ASEAN trade and investment flows, cross-border corporate, affluent banking opportunities and regional client connectivity in line with the Group’s aspiration to be the top-of-mind ASEAN bank.
